Description
Split branch pendant in fine silver. This one-of-a-kind handmade pendant was created from 100% reclaimed silver, and molded from a small branch.
Beautifully textured, the branch is solid silver and features a long natural split in the bark that reveals a smooth heartwood core. A patina has been applied to the front of the branch (except for the heartwood core which retains its original silver luster), from light brown to silvery tan, and with light golden highlights bordering the heartwood core. Overall the piece has a soft satin sheen. The tip is no darker than the rest of the piece despite its appearance in several photos.
Containing over one ounce of pure silver, it weighs approximately 31.2 grams (1.1 ounces) and measures approximately 2 and 3/4 inches (70 mm) long by 7/16 inch (11 mm) at its widest point and 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) at its thickest point (excluding the bail).
A sturdy hidden bail on the reverse will accommodate even a large chain. May be worn as a pin; simply insert a safety pin through the bail. No patina was applied to the reverse which bears the fine silver mark (‘.999’) and maker’s mark (‘DPV’).
Please note the sterling chain seen in photos is *not* included in this sale. A basic black neck cord with simple sterling clasp *is* included. You must select a desired neck-cord length before adding the pendant to your cart.
