Large Oregon carnelian agate stone pendant. Naked stone weighs approximately 35.5 grams; and measures roughly 2.45 inches (62 mm) long by 1.26 inches (32 mm) wide. Raised glossy parts of stone contrast with pitted areas showing their original unpolished state.
Carnelian is a very popular semi-precious stone that has been used in adornments for thousands of years. Generally reddish-brown, this stone is more dark-amber colored with dark iron-oxide inclusions that color part of the stone.
