One-of-a-kind, free-standing miniature sculpture features four standing and one fallen mushroom; all on a textured darkly patinated base. This free-formed piece is solid silver including the stalks and base. The caps are cupped with some undulated edges and have been lightly textured with small “bumps” and uneven pure-silver coatings applied with a brush. Stalks are lightly textured with light longitudinal striations. Notice that the fallen mushroom is longer than all the others – it’s because of this additional height that it fell over!
Small but heavy, the piece weighs approximately 76.6 grams (2.7 ounces) and measures approximately 1.4 inches (76.6 mm) tall. The oval base measures approximately 1.5 inches (38.4 mm) by 1.3 inches (33.36mm). The underside is stamped ‘.999’ and ‘DPV’ for silver purity and maker’s mark.
Caps are primarily mottled silver and brown in color from the patina process using liver of sulfur.
