Description
Mushroom pendant. A trio of mushrooms sprouts from a background textured from petrified wood. Semi-circular caps are finely textured and sit atop smooth stalks. This entire piece is solid pure silver.
This is a free-formed oval which is not perfectly symmetrical. This large hunk of solid fine silver is approximately 2 inches (50 mm) long by 1 and 1/4 inches (32 mm) wide. It is the second heaviest of my mushroom pendants and weighs approximately 42.4 grams (one and one-half ounces).
The cap of the mushroom on the right extends slightly beyond the edge of the pendant; however its edge is rounded so as not to interfere with clothing when worn. This pendant is not completely flat. There is a slight curl forward at the bottom of the pendant as seen in the photo. Due to its size and heft, this piece might appeal more to men than women.
Background layers have a silvery-rust patina. Mushroom caps sport a green iridescence. Stalks retain their silver luster. The reverse is very lightly textured and retains its original luster.
A sturdy hidden bail on the reverse will accommodate a large chain. The bail is designed as a small capped mushroom which does not interfere with a chain when worn. The back is stamped with the fine silver mark (‘.999’) and maker’s mark (‘DPV’). Please note that this item does *not* include a sterling chain. A black neck cord with sterling clasp *is* included. You must select a desired neck-cord length before adding the pendant to your cart.
